Five chairs, five targets

From Series A you can hire a CEO, CTO, CMO, CFO and CHRO. The CEO takes the deals, the CTO drives research and licensing, the CMO runs marketing, the CFO manages your money and audits the books, and the CHRO keeps every department staffed. Every 6 hours each executive gets a review against a target. Miss it twice and they are stopped. Or promote a worker from within.
